Crit with Mohini

On the 8th November I had a tutorial with one of my lectures, we one through my work and talked about how I could improve it.

These are her notes:

• Working on Dreams - the psychology behind them - why we dream.

• Has been looking at Freuds writing on the dreamwork.

• Link to photography might come through cinematic interpretations.

• Try looking at surrealism?

• Shattered mirrors very interesting, needs to be explored in a bit more in detail.

• Has other ideas for experimental shoots.

• Look at Duane Michaels and Maya Deren.

• Recommended to sign up for tutorials with visiting lecturers next week.

I found this very useful, I have already started doing some of the things she mentioned and some of the things are new to me like Duane Michaels. I am nervous about showing the visiting lectures my work but I feel it will be very useful and will help me gain in confidence, they will know we are still learning so it shouldn't be as intimidating.
