In a recent crit session it was Duane Michael is an American photographer born in 1932. He likes to mix images with text to create narrative, using poems and observations of his subjects. He is inspired by Andy Warhol, René Magritte and Marcel Duchamp.
He often creates work related to myths but is never content on settling on a single style, never being limited to a genre.
He was suggested for me to look at because of his series called 'Heisenberg's Magic Mirror of Uncertainty'. His work isn't to my taste, and I don't really connect with it. However I like how he doesn't constrain himself to one genre so his work varies a lot which is interesting as most established photographers tend to have one style and stick to it as that is what they are known for.
