Formative Presentation

On the 3rd December we had a formative assessment which required us to present in front of small groups. I didn't enjoy presenting it as I am not a confident presenter. It is something I am trying to work on. I need to be able to talk about my work as otherwise no one will have faith in my work and it will hard to get the word out about it.

However badly I thought the presentation went no one seemed to pick up on it which made me feel more positive as I might be becoming more confident than I think.

Everyone seemed to like and understand my work which is reassuring as I wasn't sure if they would as it is fairly abstract.

Lecturer comments:

  • Good contextual work around Hannah Starkey compositions, followed by thoughtful work around the mirror and imposed meaning for drama, based on lighting.

  • What from this key image, enables you evolve the narrative in looking forward? You sound thoughtful about what you refine in the compositions. Remove the frame from the mirror?

  • What does a dream journal look like? Whats beyond in the psychodrama? Probably in the earlier experimentations are answers to how you portray the ‘dream’ in the wider narrative coming.

These are some good points to think about, I am positive that I don't want to recreate any dreams as I want to keep that ambiguous and I don't want to involve my previous work as I really don't like it I think it looks messy and unprofessional. However I do need to think more into how I am going to move my book forward.

I am not sure how to create a photographic dream journal, it was just a sudden idea I had that potentially might not be possible but it is something I am interested in investigating.
