Both = Normal Kat = Bold Hannah = Italics
For the Photographic Symposium with Banaras Hindu University, Kat and I have chosen to collaborate on a joint project. On the 22nd March we had our first discussion over what work we wanted to create. Our topic is 'Land and Nature', which is about 'Protecting and restoring land for the benefit of people and wildlife'.
We started discussing coastal landscapes as there are lots around where we live. Cornwall is a pretty wild place, lots of countryside which is a very different landscape to India, the colour schemes are very different which could be interesting to show them.
I was interested in looking at the Sustainable water so doing coastal landscapes brings in both.
I wanted to work with Kat as we have always enjoyed doing group projects so wanted to take this opportunity to collaborate further.
During the meeting we decided on photographing plastic on our beaches and to show the restoration part of this topic, we would photograph a beach clean up. Our photo essay could then show the plastic on the beach, the clean up and then the clear beach at the end, to show progression. Below we created an itinerary for the weeks ahead.
