I had a new idea to give the book more context. I am going to do this by adding in images of places people to escape and daydream. I think this will give more context and make the book more interesting as it is giving the images more diversity.

The Oxford definition of daydreaming is: A series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present. ‘she was lost in a daydream’

I decided to try hand making it as I want the book to have a personal touch - after the talk with bob books I debated getting it professionally printed as it could look smarter and last longer but I like said I want it to have a personal touch and I can be more creative, it will be more of a challenge but I am up for it.

I thought about laser cutting a design into wood for the front cover after we had the talk in the fab lab but I wasn't sure if wood could be to clunky then I remembered the guy said you can laser cut into paper if you have a low enough setting. So that I could play around with designs whilst I was at home over Christmas I brought a cheap wood burning tool. It was a lot easier than I thought to use as long things keep going as they are I won't need to use the laser cutter as I am quite enjoying to be able to do it myself.

I am experimenting creating a shattered effect as most of my images are involving a shattered mirror and I like the depth burning the design in creates.

I have played around with names trying to involves the ambiguity of dreams and the detachment form reality of daydreaming.

- Land of Nod

- Subconscious Thoughts

- Wishful Thinking -- Although it doesn't include the bad

- Unconscious Mind

- Faraway Thoughts

- On My Mind

- In My Minds Eye

- A Hazy Daze

- Indulgent Daydream - Again doesn't include the bad

- Subconscious Mind

I decided on Subconscious Minds as when you zone out in a daydream you aren't thinking properly and when you are asleep it is your subconscious thoughts that come through in your dreams.
