On the PCA website there is a section where we can go and get help with our employability skills. They have everything from skills audits, to CV templates and information on how to start your own business.
I have decided to look at my skills audit first to see how my skills have progresses from last year by comparing the two.
The image on the left is my skills audit from last year and the one on the right is the one from this year, as you can see everything has improved a little bit except commercial awareness which has gone down considerably, I don't believe I'm now commercially unaware if anything I think I am more aware. I think I may have been over ambitious with my skills or accidentally answered a few questions incorrectly.
I am happy with the progress I have made I am hoping to improve my personal planning and readiness - I feel I will do this by having more faith in my work and planning my time more effectively. It is not something I am bad at but I could improve. I also want to improve on my communication, would say I am really good at communication in small groups and people I am comfortable with but when it comes to big groups of people who I am not overly familiar with I am not so strong as I don't feel as confident, hence why I never put myself forward to lead a group as I am not confident at speaking in front big groups of people. I think I will improve upon this throughout the year as I have to do multiple presentations it is something I am going to have to push myself to do, the more I do it the more confident I shall become. For becoming more confident in leading groups I think it would be a good idea to lead smaller groups first, then work out from there.
