The 10 weeks of provocations lectures were interesting, but I couldn’t always see how they were relevant to our practise meaning they weren’t very inspiring for the essay . I didn’t see the relevance of the tasks meaning they weren't always my main focus, however I did enjoy them doing them once I got round to them.
The model was very self-led which had good and bad points to it. It has taught us a lot about time management and thinking for ourselves, but I feel it could have been beneficial to have been given more direction at the beginning so we knew what we were supposed to be doing.
At times I felt the communication between lectures and students was lacking, there was a lot of confusion about whether the lecture series was being marked and whether we needed to create a research file.
Despite all this it has been very helpful for preparing us for our dissertation in the third year.
